Juniors and seniors enjoyed stations today outside in the glorious sunshine.
The pupils of 1st & Senior Infants went on their school tour to the Burren Nature Sanctuary last Wednesday 14th June. Thanks to Mrs O'Connell & Mrs Vaughan for organising a great day out for all the children.
Thursday 1st June marked the last day of our Active Week here in Clonmoney. Originally we had planned to host our annual Sports Day but unfortunately the rain came and put a dampener on our plans! We hope that we can have it next week instead. Nevertheless we still got up and did many indoor activities in each class including Yoga, Dance and movement. As a staff we extremely grateful to all our various visitors & instructors who made this week such a enjoyable and worthwhile experience for the children of Clonmoney NS. We also thank the Co-Op for letting us use their car park every morning so that we could safely run a 'Walking Bus' all week. We hope we can make this initiative an annual event and hopefully we will soon be an official Active School & be presented with our Flag acknowledging this all the healthy activities going on here! Below are some photos and videos of our final day. Thanks to our parents and families for all the support.
Day 4 of our Active Schools Week included visits from referees Rory McGann & Rory Hickey as well as Euan Gee of Munster Rugby. Our hurlers were also involved in a schools semi final in Newmarket, defeating Clooney NS. We also walked to school so all in all a very Active Day again! Thanks to all our visitors and to the pupils who participated with such enthusiasm. Check out the photos below.
